Who We Are

What People Say

Framers' Workshop opened in April 1976 on Washington Street in Brookline Village ... and moved a few blocks down to a larger space in 1991.

Framers' Workshop is not a gallery — though we do have art for sale. It's a workshop. It may look a little disheveled, but we do good work, and you can too.

In '76 there were several do-it-yourself framing shops in the Boston area. Now ours is the only one. We keep doing do-it-yourself because framing can be expensive, and we want it to be more affordable for more people.

We have ten do-it-yourself booths and a large custom framing area. We have a computerized mat cutter that can cut all sorts of shapes and sizes — and a powerful dual blade mitre saw to make perfect 90 degree frame corners. Everything we do is built on site.
